Britney Spears 'Glee' Episode Takes On '... Baby One More Time'
Lea Michele dons Brit's naughty schoolgirl look for a faithful cover of the 1998 hit.

It was the song that launched the career of one of the most beloved, albeit troubled, pop stars of the past decade. Its iconic video spawned a modern-day "Lolita" and earned the title of #1 first favorite video on "TRL." So, of course, Britney Spears' 1998 smash "... Baby One More Time" was an obvious choice for Tuesday night's episode of "Glee."
While general-anesthesia-induced hallucinations had another Brittany (Heather Morris) tackling "Me Against the Music" and "I'm a Slave 4 U," star Lea Michele took on the timelessly catchy "...Baby One More Time." As Michele mimicked Spears' naughty schoolgirl look, the instantly recognizable opening notes pounded on the piano (though the "Glee" version had a slight change of key). With her throaty "Oh bay-buh, bay-buh," Michele effortlessly channeled the song (surprisingly enough, she sounded downright restrained) that made the former "Mickey Mouse Club" member a superstar.
It's fitting that "Glee" paid homage to the song that is but a few weeks away from celebrating its 12th anniversary. (Go on and take a moment to absorb that information.) "... Baby One More Time," the first single of Spears' debut album of the same name, was released in the United States in late October 1998.
Of course, it could have all sounded very different if writer Max Martin had followed through with his original plan to have R&B heavyweights TLC sing the track. The song was also originally titled "Hit Me Baby One More Time" but was changed due to concerns about it being misinterpreted.
In Spears' capable 16-year-old pigtails, the single went on to sell over 9 million copies, garnered Spears her first Grammy nomination (Best Female Pop Vocal Performance, which she lost to Sarah McLachlan for "I Will Remember You") and reached the #1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100. The rest of the album featured other Spears hits, including "(You Drive Me) Crazy" and "Sometimes," but neither of those songs left quite the same impact.
Spears told Blender — which placed the track at the #9 spot on its list of "The 500 Greatest Songs Since You Were Born" — that the song wasn't an easy undertaking for her at first (of course, neither was the immense fame that followed). Spears revealed, "I didn't do well at all the first day in the studio. I was just too nervous. So I went out that night and had some fun. The next day I was completely relaxed and nailed it. You gotta be relaxed singing '... Baby One More Time.' "
Spears looked more than at ease during awards show appearances that followed, namely the 1999 VMAs, in which the leather-clad pop princess took the stage alongside her tourmates 'NSYNC for a "... Baby One More Time"/ "Tearin' Up My Heart" showstopper.
Of course, long before the folks at "Glee" took "... Baby One More Time" out for a spin, countless other musicians had already had at it. From punk rock (Simple Plan) to acoustic (Travis), Spears' song has been refashioned (albeit, sometimes ironically) in many genres. Take, for instance, Bowling for Soup's cover of the ditty, which wound up on Bowling for Soup Goes to the Movies. And even Jamie Lee Curtis and Chad Michael Murray took a crack at it in the 2003 film "Freaky Friday."

Kate, Julia, and Fergie Get Together For a Glamourous Night
Glamour magazine played hosted last night at their annual Women of the Year gala in NYC. Fergie, who looked hot in red alongside husband Josh Duhamel, was among the year's honorees, which also included the always classy Queen Rania of Jordan, Donatella Versace, Julia Roberts, Cher, and more. Hilary Swank and Janet Jackson were on hand to present a statue to Donatella. Janet shared kind words about how Donatella was close with both her and her late brother Michael, even dressing them for his memorial service. Kate, meanwhile, introduced Fergie's achievement. Fergie was in tears as she thanked her mom, sister, and husband for letting her get glamorous in their bathrooms all the time.
Mayor Michael Bloomberg handed awards to athletes Lisa Leslie, Mia Hamm, and Lindsey Vonn, but the crowd really went wild when Oprah Winfrey stepped out to present an honor to Julia Roberts. Oprah spoke about Julia's skills as a mom, which is fitting since the actress just created a documentary on motherhood for the daytime queen's upcoming OWN network. Stanley Tucci was last to step out to speak about the humanitarian work done by Cher, who received a plaque and flag from two wounded soldiers from The Heroes Project. It was the magazine's latest star-studded evening celebrating the accomplishments of women, after recently hosting a bash for budding directors Jessica Biel and Eva Mendes.

Ben Affleck May Make Movies In Boston, But He Won?t Run For Office There
That was one of the things that almost made me not want to do The Town. I thought, I??m going to be the guy who makes crime movies in Somerville, [Mass.]. I guess from an actor??s point-of-view, you worry about being typecast. It sounds like it wasn't enough to stop him from doing it, though :)Apparently, Ben's 'The Town' co-star, Jon Hamm, said walking around Boston with Ben was like walking around with the mayor.
[Laughs] He??s probably exaggerating. People probably know who I am in Boston just because of Good Will Hunting and Gone Baby Gone. It??s a double-edged sword: Being the local boy you definitely get some support and you also?there??s tougher scrutiny. So would Ben, who's interest in politics is well-known, ever consider running for office there?
I don't want to hold office. Every day that seems like a worse and worse job to have. Look at the level of political discourse now. It's very depressing to me. I did a lot of research down in D.C. when I did State of Play [Affleck played a congressman in the 2009 film], and it's not unlike Hollywood. It's a one-horse town. Everyone's jockeying with one another for power, prestige, and image and they'll stab each other in the back as fast as they can. The only difference is the stakes are a bit higher, which makes it sadder.I don't know... I wouldn't be surprised if Ben ran for office in 10-15 years :)Are you interested in seeing 'The Town' when it hits theaters later this month?Photos by FAME Continue reading →

Britney Spears Tweets About 'Glee' Tribute Episode
'I loved it!' writes the pop star, who also thanked fans and shared her thoughts on the show's covers.

Britney Spears fans are a force to be reckoned with. Earlier this year, they campaigned for an episode of "Glee" to be dedicated solely to their favorite pop princess. And after much anticipation, on Tuesday night the students of McKinley High shimmied, crooned and danced their way in tribute to the entertainer. The singer took to Twitter to thank her fans for their efforts and shared her thoughts on the program, titled "Britney/Brittany," and its covers of her songs.
"I loved it! Thank you guys SO much for making this happen!" Britney tweeted. In particular, the star seemed to enjoy the renditions of her classic tunes, saying, "I love this version of Stronger. Artie did a great job," and "The GLEE version of Toxic is amazing!"
While some of the McKinley High students — including Cheerio cheerleader Brittany S. Pearce (played by Heather Morris) — went into anesthesia--induced dream sequences to channel their inner Britney, Spears herself emerged throughout the episode's hallucinogenic fantasies. Appearing as Madonna's character at the end of "Me Against the Music," a high-school teacher in "... Baby One More Time" and a fellow cheerleader, the singer remained a source of inspiration for the Gleekers.
Spears gave kudos to co-star Morris, saying, "Awww Heather Morris is sooo cute! Brittany S Pearce. Ha! She was so fun to work with and was really sweet in person."
The singer not only applauded Morris' friendliness, but also her rendition of "I'm a Slave 4 U." She wrote of the sultry production, "Slave: Oh ... My ... God ...! Those little boys are SO cute! I know how hard it is to dance with that snake! Nice job." The pop star also was surprised at how well the show re-created the music video set of her 2003 Madonna duet, "Me Against the Music," pointing out that it "looks just like the original," and adding, "Santana does a great Madonna impression."
As the students walked Spears through memory lane, Lea Michele's cover of "... Baby One More Time" also had the singer reminiscing. "Watching Baby brings back so many memories! Feels like yesterday," she explained.
John Stamos also made a guest appearance in the episode, as the dentist who sends the Gleeks into Britney world. Spears made it clear that the 47-year-old actor looks as good as he did during his heyday. "John Stamos is still hot! He looks the same as he did on Full House," she tweeted.
As with many "Glee" fans, Britney found a pleasantly odd interest in Jane Lynch, who plays the aggressive cheerleading coach Sue Sylvester, describing the actress as "hilarious and scary all rolled into one."
Spears wasn't the only one who enjoyed filming the tribute episode — the "Glee" castmembers recently dished on working with the star. Morris told Australian magazine TV Week that the singer was her childhood inspiration. "She was my idol from, like, age 12 to 16," she said. "I sang to her [songs] in my living room and danced to her — I learned all her moves. And I had my talent shows and I lip-synched to her. I just kept flashing back to growing up and being obsessed with her."
Naya Rivera, who plays Santana, also spoke highly of the pop icon. "I love Britney Spears. I mean, who doesn't? We all grew up with her," she proclaimed in a promo video for the show. "The first music purchase I ever made was '... Baby One More Time' on cassette. [It was like], 'Britney Spears is going to be in my mitts, what do I do?' [And I was like], 'Hi Britney!' And then she was like, 'Hey!' She was awesome and beautiful. She was, like, magical."

After getting dumped by my boyfriend of five years (and some time to get over that), I've recently re-entered the dating world. So far it's a lot like I remember it to be; however, the only difference is that this time I'm not a virgin, and neither are most of the people I've been out with. And while I'm not quite ready to leap into bed with anyone, I'm becoming increasingly confused about the appropriate time to broach the subject of getting tested for STDs. Is there a way to bring up the topic without being offensive? I feel like I'm being a bit of a prude here, but after working for a college health center for a few years, and seeing the damage that STDs can do, I'm just not interested in putting my health at risk, even in the name of love. — Cleared for Takeoff

Car crashes. Sexy make-out scenes. Ghostly visions. To sum it up, Miley Cyrus and Kevin Zegers got our hearts racing when they appeared as lovers in Rock Mafia's video for their retro-tinged track "The Big Bang." And, when MTV News spoke with Tim James, who sings the vocals on the track that his team, Rock Mafia, helped create, he teased there might be a bigger plan in the works.
"They're actually talking about a movie. I'm excited about that too," James dished. "There's a couple of producers putting together story lines and stuff. That's really exciting."
And, he says there's talk of Miley and Kevin starring.
As for the idea that Rock Mafia score the flick — that is, if Hollywood Crush can help broker the deal — James exclaimed, "Now you're really talking! Now you're making my day!"
Miley herself offered to appear in the video, which has fans' tongues wagging, for the production team who worked with her on "Can't Be Tamed," "Who Owns My Heart" and "See You Again."
"The whole idea was to do something different," James explained. "[The director] had such a cool vision for it ... the vision was to let it fly, let the chemistry speak for itself. When we were watching them shoot it, we were like, 'Wow, this is going to be really cool.'
"Kevin and [Miley] both brought their real acting game to it. ... The chemistry is not by accident. You can feel it, and it's intense," he continued. "I'm really proud of both of them."
And, he's just as proud of the song itself. "I wish they grew on trees," he joked. "I wish I had 100 of them like it. It's really a special record. We wanted to do something that was classic, that felt like an old vinyl from the '70s that nobody ever heard. It was an experiment in that aesthetic."
As for working with Miley, James has one thing he wants everyone to know: "There's nothing manufactured with that girl!"
"It's weird 'cause [the Miley in the video] is like the Miley that I'm used to hanging out with," he said. "So, it's cool that this [video] can give her a good look that I think has been underused.
"I'm stoked for her. She comes by the studio a lot and just jams with us — that's my favorite. She's so dope. People need to know it. What she can do is cool, so I'm really excited to let people see her artistic side. As she keeps growing, she's going to do cool stuff. She really is her own person."

Tina Fey Got 'Lightheaded' While Voicing 'Megamind' Character
'I would kind of hyperventilate,' she says of imagining falling off buildings and other action scenes.

Given all the high-profile names attached to animated films these days — particularly Dreamworks' upcoming "Megamind," featuring the vocal stylings of Will Ferrell, Tina Fey, Brad Pitt, Jonah Hill and David Cross — it stands to reason that there is something highly appealing to the art of voice acting, aside from a great script and a paycheck, of course.
When MTV News caught up with two of the big names in question, Ferrell and Fey, we asked them to compare and contrast the arts of voice acting vs. regular acting.
"You can kind of look at it a lot of different ways," Ferrell said. "You are isolated [during the recording process], you're slightly on this island. But at the same time, you get this huge amount of creative freedom in terms of you can kind of go anywhere you want to. And that's the huge selling point of working on something like this."
Fey agreed, adding that she found certain action scenes in "Megamind" to be a lot more involved than she thought.
"Having to imagine that you're up on top of a building and falling off, and being caught and swept back up, and trying to imagine all that," she explained. "I can say that every time we had to do that stuff, I would kind of hyperventilate and get a little lightheaded."
"[You] almost pass out," Ferrell said.
Speaking of lightheadedness and playing supervillains, we had to ask Ferrell how a meeting between Megamind and "Zoolander" baddie Mugatu would pan out.
"Well, I think Megamind would kind of run circles around Mugatu," Ferrell said. "He's just evil in the fashion world, so he doesn't really have any powers."
"Mugatu would probably respect Megamind's look, though," Fey offered.
"Yeah, they probably would become great friends," Ferrell said.
Check out everything we've got on "Megamind."

Miley Cyrus Wants Family 'To Be Together' For 18th Birthday
'I think we need time to all be together,' teen star tells MTV News before Sunday's MTV EMA performance.
By James Montgomery
MADRID — On Thursday, minutes after rehearsing her performance for Sunday night's MTV Europe Music Awards, Miley Cyrus sat down with MTV News to discuss her plans, both for the big show (think lots of "angels and demons") and another, equally big event: her upcoming 18th birthday.
Given all of the hullabaloo that's been raised in the 24 hours since she sat down with us — Cyrus may have been photographed drinking underage in a Madrid nightclub — we figured that her 18th birthday was sort of newsworthy ... since, well, the legal drinking age in Spain is 18 and all.
And while Miley didn't tell us where she'd be celebrating her 18th (it's November 23 in case you wanted to send a card), she did mention that she hopes her whole family will be with her for the big day, something that's equally newsworthy, given everything that's been going on with her parents, Tish and Billy Ray Cyrus, in recent weeks.
"I'm not going to go crazy; [just] have a fun party and then maybe take a vacation with my family ... because that would be really cool. I think we need time to all be together," she said. "So that would be rad if we could all go to the beach or something. ... [I have] no idea [where we're going]; somewhere near water. I'm a water baby; I have to be near the water and I love doing scuba and going out and being on a boat."
Of course, there are plenty of boats in Spain, but we'd be willing to bet she won't be spending her 18th birthday here or in any other Spanish-speaking country, for that matter, because if there's one thing we've learned from chatting with her during EMA weekend, it's that Spanish most definitely is not her first language, nor her second or third, really.
"I failed Spanish," she laughed. "I'm really, really bad at it. It's not really the words; it's the pronunciation that's the hard part."
How do you think Miley should celebrate her 18th birthday? Tell us your ideas in the comments!
The 2010 EMAs will air on MTV2 on Sunday at 9 p.m. ET, and an edited, performance-heavy version will be broadcast Friday, November 12, at 9 p.m. ET on MTV.

With their new movie's much-awaited release date of November 19th getting closer and closer, a brand new sneak peek video for "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I" has just hit the web.
Titled "Cafe Attack," the latest offering gives fans a preview of a scene in the David Yates directed picture depicting Harry, Ron and Hermione fighting off two Death Eaters in disguise.
Meanwhile, the series' stars Emma Watson and Daniel Radcliffe recently spoke with Entertainment Weekly about their feelings over winding down their "Harry Potter" efforts, as Emma dished, "The three of us were just in pieces by the end. It was our lives played over on tape, and all these people that we?ve known, in this place where we?d spent more time than in our actual homes. It was overwhelming."
Continuing on, Radcliffe said, "I was sitting there thinking, ?What am I going to do without all these people that I love and who love me?? I will miss them all very, very much."

Lady Gaga, 'Jersey Shore,' 'Avatar' Top Halloween Costumes
'I'm almost out of blue makeup,' New York costume purveyor says of popularity of Na'vi look.

If the "Today" show hosts are any indication of what's cool this Halloween, then we'll be seeing a lot of ladies dressed as Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga. And that's partially true. When MTV News reached out to several costume purveyors, we learned that Gaga and the Biebs are only two of the pop culture-approved looks that will be donned by revelers and trick-or-treaters this weekend.
"Lady Gaga, of course, is very popular. Also very popular is vampires, I assume because of 'True Blood,' " Damien Valadez, the assistant manager of New York costume shop Masquerade, explained.
So which Gaga looks are flying off the shelves? "I'm not a huge expert on what these are, but the blue one," Valadez said. "I think it's 'Poker Face.' It's all Lady Gaga licensed products, makeup, glasses, hair bows. People were asking about the soda-can wig. They were looking for plastic meat. We didn't have that, but people wanted it." He added that lots of women, and some men, are buying Bieber-like wigs and "Jersey Shore" wigs.
It's not just Gaga that people are going gaga for this season. "I would say the biggest sellers in order have been that 'Avatar' stuff. [To be Na'vi] is definitely #1: the costumes, wigs, face paint," Pierce Skinner of Halloween Adventure explained. "After that it would be 'Jersey Shore,' which is also most popular with costumes, and then I would say Lady Gaga, more in terms of accessories."
Gaga's little monsters are also sinking their teeth into accessories. "Definitely the glasses, the wigs," he said. "As far as I know, we have contacts for something that she did [for 'Bad Romance']. What I see most with Lady Gaga's little license on it are the glasses and the wigs."
Cody Hadrick of the Abracadabra Superstore found that many revelers this year are going DIY. "I've had a lot of Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber. I think it's my last wig that we were styling for Bieber," she explained. "People are coming in and trying their own Gaga-inspired look. 'Avatar' is popular, but still people are trying to come in and do it differently. [Also] vampires [across] the board, kids to adults."
Wigs are still key to the homemade Gaga costumes. "They're still doing the hair. The hair is pretty much the same: the white, platinum-blond wig and then getting some makeup or masks and glitter, and they're trying to find something to cut up," she explained, adding that people are going particularly bold for "Avatar."
"We do makeup in the store. We've booked so many appointments to get 'Avatar' makeup and to get body paint, some completely nude. We had a model come in last Saturday. She was completely nude. People are totally going for it. I'm almost out of blue makeup."

Dimmu Borgir Release Live DVD; Plus Led Zeppelin, Brujeria, & More News That Rules, In Metal File
'It shows the intense live side of the band, as opposed to the perfection and the cleanness of how we sound on our albums,' guitarist says.

On October 14, Dimmu Borgir — who just happen to be Demi Lovato's favorite black-metal band — will release a a three-disc DVD/CD set called "The Invaluable Darkness," the band's first visual offering since 2002's "World Misanthropy." Boasting live footage shot last year, during gigs in Norway, Germany and England, "The Invaluable Darkness" demonstrates the unbridled furor of seeing Dimmu live, guitarist Silenoz said.
"It shows the honest rawness and atmospheric darkness of our concerts," the Norwegian told Metal File last week, after dismissing recent online rumors that his band's next LP would be coming out through Roadrunner Records. "Basically, it shows the intense live side of the band, as opposed to the perfection and the cleanness of how we sound on our albums. It's just a different side to the band, basically."
Dimmu Borgir began thinking about "The Invaluable Darkness" two years ago, but didn't start capturing footage until last summer, Silenoz explained, adding that the band will use its current stint on the Blackest of the Black Tour — which got underway Thursday night in Miami Beach, Florida, and also features the tour's founder, Danzig, along with Moonspell, Winds of Plague and Skeletonwitch — to promote the DVD. Dimmu Borgir will not, however, use the tour to write material for their next LP.
"It's our first time on Blackest, but Glenn [Danzig] had wanted to bring us out before [on the tour], but we weren't available until now," Silenoz said. "We've done Ozzfest before, but we're looking forward to this tour more. We did the main stage on Ozzfest, playing in f--_ing broad daylight. This tour will let us play in bigger places, but at the same time showcase more of what the band's about, visually. We are going to concentrate on the tour for now. Some years ago, we tried putting [material] together on the road, but once we got home, we listened back to it, and were like, 'What the f--- is this?' So, we just scrapped it all. We find it's so much better to totally focus on one thing at a time, and then, when that's over, you move on to the next [thing]. We don't really feel like we need to rush things, anyway, so we'll just take our time, and it's going to be what it's going to be."
Dimmu Borgir hope to reconvene in late December to begin writing the follow-up to 2007's diabolically titled In Sorte Diaboli. "We have some ideas floating around already, but we haven't arranged any material yet," he said. "We'll start doing that once the touring for this DVD is over." The band's frontman, Shagrath, is also due to marry soon — he's engaged to actor Nicolas Cage's ex-girlfriend, Christina Fulton, so that may have an effect on when Dimmu finish their next album, which Silenoz said could be out this coming spring.
"I'm sure [Shagrath] won't let anything get in the way [of] the band — I think, I hope," the guitarist said. "We don't need a Yoko [Ono] situation."
While Dimmu have been at it going on 15 years now, Silenoz said he doesn't think their forthcoming material will be much of a departure from their previous black-metal offerings.
"And we have always been about more than just that term, 'black metal,' " he said. "Luckily for us, the older you get, the less concerned you get with the categorization and putting labels on your music. Things start getting more and more limitless with us, and we know that we operate within certain frames. But we try not to analyze things too much, because it's just going to be working against you in the end. When we write new stuff, we don't think about what we should write — we just get together, and put material together, and if we like it, we keep it. That's the formula, if we even have a formula."
Dimmu Borgir are definitely getting older — guitarist Galder will be missing Blackest because of a recent addition to his family, and Susperia's Cyrus will be filling in for him; while former Vader drummer Dariusz Brzozowski takes over for Hellhammer, who had to leave the band in 2007 after sustaining a neck injury that's now limited the use of his right arm. As Dimmu has gotten on in years, Silenoz admits they have failed to keep pace with some of the more extreme black-metal acts that have followed in their wake.
"We helped open doors for the more extreme bands out there," Silenoz said. "I'm sure we helped open doors for bands like Watain, [insomuch as] people that had maybe started listening to us first then went on to the more extreme stuff. Let's face it — we're not as extreme as Watain and other bands like that, but we're fine with that."
The Blackest of the Black Tour continues through November 10 in San Francisco.
The rest of the week's metal news:
Dimmu's tourmates on Blackest, Winds of Plague, have announced ex-Azusa drummer Art Cruz has joined their ranks — he replaced Jeff Tenney. Former Killswitch Engage frontman Jesse Leach and current Killswitch Engage guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz have teamed up for a new project they're calling Times of Grace, and they've already started working on material for their debut album. According to Leach, "We have two songs to go and we will be finished with all of the vocals. Adam has taken lead vocals in three songs as of yet and he is doing a great job. We also worked on a track yesterday that is so epic — we trade vocals and do two different melodies at the same time. This album went from a melodic metal album to an epic mix of metal/rock/pop/shoegaze and punk. So all of your metal expectations will be incorrect — we are pushing genre boundaries." Jonah Hill Says '21 Jump Street' Will Be His Next Movie
Funnyman also gives MTV News updates on 'Zoolander 2' and R-rated animated comedy 'Sausage Party.'
By Josh Wigler, with reporting by Josh Horowitz
Jonah Hill is a busy, busy man. The comedian is currently in the midst of shooting "The Sitter," an R-rated comedy from director David Gordon Green about the misadventures of three kids and their filthy-mouthed babysitter, played by Hill. But there's much more on the "Superbad" actor's plate in the near future, starting, thankfully, with "21 Jump Street."
"That should be shooting early next year," Hill told MTV News of his planned remake of the 1980s cop series. "It will be my next movie. I won't do another movie before that movie as of right now."
Hill's "21 Jump Street" revival has been in development for more than two years now, but according to the actor and screenwriter, production should be kicking off soon — and in case you were wondering, he still has a role for former "21 Jump Street" star Johnny Depp if the actor wants it.
"Hopefully, he does it. It would be awesome if he did it," Hill said, before offering a direct message to Depp himself: "Just do it, dude. Don't be an a--hole. Just be in the movie."
Hill's kidding, of course, and while he certainly has his fingers crossed on the Depp front, he also has "some cool, fun stuff planned" whether or not the "Pirates of the Caribbean" star appears in the film. But while the Depp campaign is well-documented, Hill was considerably less vocal about recent rumors of his "Superbad" co-star Emma Stone appearing in the film.
"I can't say anything to the negative or the positive of that," he said of Stone's possible casting, adding: "I think we'll have some cool casting announcements to make very, very soon."
Even as Hill puts the wheels in motion on "21 Jump Street," he has a potential role in Ben Stiller and Justin Theroux's developing "Zoolander" sequel to look forward to as well. As a longtime "Zoolander" fan who says he can quote every single line from the original film, Hill is understandably flattered that he's being sought after for the sequel.
"If Ben Stiller wants me to be in 'Zoolander,' I just say, 'Thanks for wanting me to be in the movie,' " he said. "I talked with Ben and Justin, and they had an idea of who they wanted me to play, and I kind of riffed on that idea and gave them some other ideas. I'd love to be a part of it whenever they get it together."
That's not to say there aren't some nerves involved in making "Zoolander 2," and Hill said he doesn't feel he could ever live up to the evil comedic genius represented by Mugatu, played in the first film by Will Ferrell.
"Mugatu, those are some pretty big shoes to fill that I could never fill," Hill said. "But I think I read that he's in [the sequel] as well. Thank God, because I'd beat myself up — I'd never be as funny as Mugatu!"
Between "The Sitter," "21 Jump Street" and "Zoolander 2," Hill has no shortage of projects to juggle — but wait, there's more! He recently wrapped filming on "Moneyball" opposite Brad Pitt, and he's supplying his voice to a new Fox cartoon series called "Allen Gregory" as well. The animated adventures don't end there, either, as Hill is developing a computer-animated comedy called "Sausage Party" alongside collaborators Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg.
"It's a 3-D animated movie," Hill said of the "Sausage Party" premise. "Imagine if 'Shrek' was R-rated, a very hard and aggressive R. It takes place in a supermarket. I don't know if I'm giving away too much, but that's something we're working on. It's pretty hysterical!"

Shia LaBeouf Brings In The Big Bucks For Movie Studios
We crunched the numbers using salaries, box-office earnings and film budgets. The result: an average profit number for every $1 the studio paid the actor.Who is helping to make the studios big money? Here's the top 10 list:1. Shia LaBeouf $81 2. Anne Hathaway $64 3. Daniel Radcliffe $61 4. Robert Downey Jr. $33 5. Cate Blanchett $27 6. Jennifer Aniston $21 7. Meryl Streep $21 8. Johnny Depp $18 9. Nicolas Cage $17 10. Sarah Jessica Parker $17I was a little shocked that Johnny Depp wasn't higher up that list, with "Alice In Wonderland's" huge haul along with the "Pirates of the Caribbean" movies, but his paycheck is significantly higher than the others, so it brings his "score" down. And if Daniel Radcliffe made the list, you'd think Emma Watson and Rupert Grint would be almost tied with him since they all reportedly earn the same amount of the same movies?I'm thinking Shia needs to ask for a raise!Photos by WENN Continue reading →

While "Glee" was spot-on in its tribute to Britney Spears in September, it's safe to say her fans are ready for the real deal. The pop princess, who has remained relatively low-key since wrapping up her Circus Tour, is currently working on her new album with a few familiar faces, including producers Dr. Luke and Max Martin.
"She's such an icon, I don't want to let anyone down," Dr. Luke said last week at the Hollywood Reporter/ Billboard Film & TV Music Conference. "But most importantly, I want to make good music."
Luke said that he is anticipating that Britney's album will see an early 2011 release, and a source told THR it would hit stores before March 31.
In addition to Dr. Luke ("Circus") and Martin ("... Baby One More Time"), Darkchild and newcomer Billboard are also said to be working with Spears.
When asked if there were anything else he could reveal about the heavily guarded project, Luke wouldn't say much. "Just that I'm excited to be co-executive producing with Max Martin, the person who kind of invented Britney, and to make good music," he said. "And she's such an amazing vehicle to getting that music out to a lot of people in every country."
With Luke and Martin helming the project, fans may expect to hear Spears sounding like the producers' frequent collaborators Katy Perry and Ke$ha. But there have also been indications that Brit will take a fresher approach. Last month, Spears' manager Adam Leber spoke to Entertainment Weekly about her next album, promising that it will introduce a "progressive" sound from the pop star.
''It'll be a departure from what you've heard,'' he added.
What producers would you like to see Britney team up with? Sound off below!

It's time for the girls to go overseas, without even the fanfare of a "Pack your bags, y'all." They travel from Venice Beach to Venice, Italy, where there are many gondolas, churches and pigeons who like to poop on Jane and Liz. Bella! After boozing it up a little, they head right into a high-fashion period shoot near the Rialto Bridge.
The girls pose in teams of three with, you guessed it, a swarthy Italian male model. He's playing the part of Casanova, with the ladies vying for his affection whilst lounging across a gondola. They are corseted and bedecked in a mixture of ornate fabric and cone boobs. Liz, Chris and Kayla pose together and Liz and Chris in particular are bothered by the fact that it's hot as hell. They have a hard time getting it together at first, but Kayla finds her comfort zone immediately.
Britney Spears 'Glee' Episode Draws Record-Setting Ratings

Madonna's "Glee" tribute episode might have been titled "The Power of Madonna," but it was the show's tribute to Britney Spears that reigned supreme. The broadcast, which featured cameos from the pop princess herself, drew 13.3 million viewers, leading the 8 p.m. hour and posting its best-ever rating among adults 18-49.
Tuesday night's episode, appropriately titled "Britney/Brittany," had a 5.8 rating and rose 4 percent from last week's season-two premiere. The feat made history for "Glee," as it becomes the first series since NBC's "Seinfeld" in 1993 to debut as the top series of the week and then spike in ratings the following week, according to Entertainment Weekly.
The episode, which highlighted Heather Morris' character Brittany S. Pearce, revolved around the McKinley High students' fight to perform Britney Spears numbers. Through anesthesia-induced sequences, the Gleeks tapped into their inner pop star to perform renditions of the singer's hits, including " ... Baby One More Time" and "Me Against the Music."
In addition to Spears' appearances on the hit Fox show, the singer took to Twitter during the West Coast premiere to thank fans for campaigning in support of the episode. "I loved it! Thank you guys SO much for making this happen!" she tweeted. The pop princess also gave props to the many song and video re-creations, including "I'm a Slave 4 U," saying, "Slave: Oh ... My ... God ...! Those little boys are SO cute! I know how hard it is to dance with that snake! Nice job."
Spears' manager, Adam Leber, also showed his appreciation for the episode, which spawned multiple trending topics on Twitter. "So glad you guys loved the GLEE episode! The Overwhelming worldwide response has been insane.3 of the top 10 worldwide trending topics.Sick! Big big big thank you to Ryan Murphy, the incredible cast and Brit's fans for making it happen...."
After such success, it wouldn't be surprising if the rumors of a second Spears-devoted episode came true, since "Britney/Brittany" only included hits from the first few years of the singer's career.
